How do I get involved?
Become a part of The 404 today! At all phases of the project, we ask for your input. Partnerships with key Atlanta and regional civic organizations, business groups, government agencies and others will allow us to capture our collective ideas in the final planning. From the ideation of gardens and greenspace and the development of educational and cultural programming to the expansion of entertainment and community events, this project is for Atlanta, by Atlanta.

Where is HUB404 in the process today?
With the conceptual plan and surveying now complete, we are poised to begin engineering of the bridges over Lenox Road in 2023, with the engineering of the major section from Lenox Road to Peachtree Road to begin in late 2024.
How will HUB404 be financed?
Funding for the project will come from a mix of private and public funds, including a variety of local, state, and federal sources. The HUB404 Conservancy Board is now raising funds from the private sector to make HUB404 a reality. Private sector funds will go toward the construction of HUB404 following engineering, final design, and permitting, with the construction of the Lenox Road bridges to be the first segment to be constructed, likely beginning in 2025. The engineering, final design, and permitting are to be funded from public sector sources.
How will this support the Atlanta community at large?
For cities around the country, well-designed community green spaces have resulted in significant and measurable economic benefits. Similar projects in New York, Boston, Seattle and Dallas created a vastly increased tax base and thousands of jobs and residential units for their respective cities.
It is estimated that real estate development around HUB404 will bring an estimated 16,300 new construction jobs, 11,000 permanent jobs and 1,600 new residents to Atlanta, along with additional tax revenues to support a growing city.
What design principles are guiding HUB404?
Mobility, sustainability and biophilic (nature friendly) design guide every decision we make.
HUB404 will offer world-class mobility options, specifically for pedestrians, relieving our famously congested roadways.
A shaded allée of trees will span the length of the greenspace, replacing a sunbaked highway with a world-class city center. An innovative water reclamation system will utilize eco-engineering processes to capture rainwater and clean wastewater for irrigation and other uses. A robust tree canopy will connect us with nature while cooling the environment. Eco-friendly landscaping will promote pollinator habitats. Solar energy capture and utilization will all be built into HUB404.
HUB404 is intentionally designed to help you forge meaningful connections to community and the outdoors. This focus on biophilic design reinforces the direct relationship between people and nature, promoting better physical and mental health for Atlanta residents and visitors.
