Buckhead leaders are making several moves to break ground on the anticipated HUB404 project, a highway-capping park that will bridge GA 400 and Lenox Road.
U.S. Rep Nikema Williams presented a $750,000 check Aug. 30 to the Buckhead Community Improvement District for the advancement of the HUB404 initiative.
HUB404 is a nine-acre, multi-purpose greenspace that will be built above GA 400, reconnecting Buckhead’s neighborhoods and business districts split by the highway. The half-mile-long park will include an amphitheater, a plaza, community art and multiple walking and biking trails. It will also link to the Buckhead MARTA station and PATH400, which will increase the walkability of Buckhead and encourage economic growth.
